Raspberry Island Lodge. Trophy fishing in Kodiak Island.
Nestled between Kodiak and Afognak Islands, Raspberry Island Lodge offers guests the rare opportunity to experience Alaska’s wild beauty in comfort and privacy. Family-owned and operated for nearly 30 years, our all-inclusive lodge provides guided fishing, eco tours, and personalized adventures surrounded by mountains, wildlife, and pristine ocean views.
Whether you come for trophy halibut, wild salmon, or quiet mornings on the bay, every trip is designed to capture the spirit of Alaska while ensuring a relaxing, comfortable stay.
Make planning simple. From the moment you arrive in Kodiak, every detail is taken care of—transportation to the island, lodging, meals, and guided excursions. Every day is thoughtfully arranged so you can focus on exploring, fishing, and experiencing Alaska’s wilderness.
Guided fishing targeting king and silver salmon, halibut, lingcod, and rockfish
Private cabins with full bathrooms and hot water
Home-cooked meals prepared fresh each day
Fish processing and freezing for transport home
Wildlife and sightseeing tours, including whales, sea otters, and eagles
Begin your morning with a hearty breakfast overlooking Raspberry Strait. Then head down to the beach, where you’ll board your custom-built 30-foot catamaran by the bow—there are no docks on our remote island. Once on the water, you’ll fish within a mile of shore, where all of our saltwater species are found. Salmon are targeted in the same nearshore waters, unless you choose a river trip during the later part of the season.
Lunch is served on the boat, and by evening you’ll return to the lodge for a warm meal and time to unwind. As the sun sets over the mountains, the deck becomes the perfect place to relax, watch for whales, and reflect on the day’s adventure.
While fishing is at the heart of what we do, many guests also explore the island by kayak, take guided hikes, or enjoy scenic boat tours to observe Kodiak brown bears, puffins, and whales. Every activity is planned around your interests and the rhythm of the island.
Our setting in the remote Kodiak Archipelago offers daily wildlife encounters and endless opportunities for stunning photography.
Guests stay in private, double-occupancy cabins with private baths, on-demand hot water, and ocean or mountain views. The main lodge serves as a gathering space for meals and relaxation, offering the comforts of home in a quiet, remote setting.
Even in this rugged part of Alaska, you’ll find thoughtful touches of fresh linens, Wi-Fi access, and the welcoming atmosphere of a family-run operation that treats every guest like a friend.
Founded in 1996, Raspberry Island Lodge has remained family-owned for nearly three decades. The Ivie family and their crew have guided thousands of guests through Alaska’s waters and wilderness, sharing their love of the outdoors and dedication to exceptional service.
This tradition continues today, with a small team that knows every guest by name and every stretch of water by heart.
Raspberry Island Lodge operates from June through September, Alaska’s prime fishing and sightseeing season. Packages include lodging, meals, guided fishing, and full fish processing.
Early reservations are recommended for peak summer availability.
