September Raspberry Beautiful location, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Rooms were adequate if a bit less than sound proof. Could use a way to dry clothes/boots. But you come for the fishing, great variety Salmon, ling cod, halibut, cod, rockfish etc.. We managed to easily fill a 50 lb box each for 7 people with a day to spare. Overall an amazing experience, wouldn't hesitate to come back.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

An Unbelievable Experience Our stay at Raspberry Island Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. There were four of us in our group, and from beginning to end, this was truly one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that we will be talking about for years. The fishing was absolutely incredible. One of the highlights of our trip was an epic day of river fishing for silver salmon. We caught an abundance of beautiful silvers — it was easily one of the most exciting and memorable days of fishing any of us have ever experienced. Our days on the ocean were just as fantastic. We had tremendous success fishing for halibut, cod, and rockfish, and every day brought a new adventure. The scenery alone would have made the trip worthwhile, but combining the breathtaking beauty of Alaska with such phenomenal fishing made the entire experience extraordinary. What really sets Raspberry Island Lodge apart, though, is the people. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Everyone was welcoming, hardworking, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we were having an amazing experience. There is a warmth and personal touch here that you simply don’t find everywhere. You arrive as guests, but you quickly feel like you’re being welcomed into something much more special. The lodge, the setting, the fishing, the wildlife, the scenery, the people — Raspberry Island Lodge delivered the Alaska experience we had dreamed about and then some. If you’re looking for a true Alaskan adventure with incredible fishing, spectacular surroundings, and a staff that makes the experience unforgettable, this is the place. Five stars simply don’t seem like enough. We would return to Raspberry Island Lodge in a heartbeat. Thank you to the entire team for giving the four of us memories that will last a lifetime!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

The hospitality was great from the start, inclusions late arrivals in Kodiak. Accommodations were very comfortable and food plentiful and very tasty. Fishing was different every day but lots of quality fish were caught. Our fish boxes were full going home.Posted on Google![]()

This was my first trip to the Raspberry Island Lodge. It will not be my last. First and foremost, everyone that works here has been fabulous and friendly. From Nana and Mike, to the the captain and deckhand on my boat, Aiden and Broxton, Eric and Sydney, Kendra the master cook, Hunter, and every other individual that has continued to make this a memorable trip with my brother, thank you. The fishing and camaraderie has been fun and enjoyable.Posted on Google![]()

Make planning simple. From the moment you arrive in Kodiak, every detail is taken care of—transportation to the island, lodging, meals, and guided excursions. Every day is thoughtfully arranged so you can focus on exploring, fishing, and experiencing Alaska’s wilderness.
Guided fishing targeting king and silver salmon, halibut, lingcod, and rockfish
Private cabins with full bathrooms and hot water
Home-cooked meals prepared fresh each day
Fish processing and freezing for transport home
Wildlife and sightseeing tours, including whales, sea otters, and eagles
Begin your morning with a hearty breakfast overlooking Raspberry Strait. Then head down to the beach, where you’ll board your custom-built 30-foot catamaran by the bow—there are no docks on our remote island. Once on the water, you’ll fish within a mile of shore, where all of our saltwater species are found. Salmon are targeted in the same nearshore waters, unless you choose a river trip during the later part of the season.
Lunch is served on the boat, and by evening you’ll return to the lodge for a warm meal and time to unwind. As the sun sets over the mountains, the deck becomes the perfect place to relax, watch for whales, and reflect on the day’s adventure.
While fishing is at the heart of what we do, many guests also explore the island by kayak, take guided hikes, or enjoy scenic boat tours to observe Kodiak brown bears, puffins, and whales. Every activity is planned around your interests and the rhythm of the island.
Our setting in the remote Kodiak Archipelago offers daily wildlife encounters and endless opportunities for stunning photography.
Guests stay in private, double-occupancy cabins with private baths, on-demand hot water, and ocean or mountain views. The main lodge serves as a gathering space for meals and relaxation, offering the comforts of home in a quiet, remote setting.
Even in this rugged part of Alaska, you’ll find thoughtful touches of fresh linens, Wi-Fi access, and the welcoming atmosphere of a family-run operation that treats every guest like a friend.
Founded in 1996, Raspberry Island Lodge has remained family-owned for nearly three decades. The Ivie family and their crew have guided thousands of guests through Alaska’s waters and wilderness, sharing their love of the outdoors and dedication to exceptional service.
This tradition continues today, with a small team that knows every guest by name and every stretch of water by heart.
Raspberry Island Lodge operates from June through September, Alaska’s prime fishing and sightseeing season. Packages include lodging, meals, guided fishing, and full fish processing.
Early reservations are recommended for peak summer availability.
